About the lampmaker
I made my first lamp in 1991, and it was love at first light.
Since then I have constructed lamps out of blenders, toasters, plumbing parts, gears, espresso makers, pepper mills, flower pots, dessert molds, colanders, cigar boxes, and birdcages.
Apparently, I live to make lamps, which I do in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Did I mention I'm a packrat?
Your work space looks a lot like mine, but much cleaner!

It does, but much, much smaller (unfortunately–or maybe it’s just as well). Also, it’s seldom this clean.
